Profile of the Company
The mission of CENTROPOL CZ is based on its complex care for customers and safeguarding
it energetic requirements. The main aim of our company is to achieve maximum satisfaction
of our customers, which can be achieved by our customer-oriented strategy, individual
approach and high reliability of energy supplies for the permanently favourable
price. The professional care of our company for customers and integration of the
latest data and knowledge from the area of power plant engineering is an obvious
part of our company strategy. A strong awareness of the environment is ranked among
most important principles of our power and heating plant technology. Focused on
this aim we gradually introduce ecological methods and principles to this technology.
The future of some of the sources, namely those for the communal sphere, lies in
the ecological burning of renewable sources of energy with the aim of minimizing
environmental impacts. Part of our electric energy production is generated in back-pressure
turbines, which provide a much higher level of efficiency as compared with the classic
energy production. This approach contributes to mutual symbiosis of man and nature.
The main activities of Centropol holding include trade in electric energy and operation
of energetic sources. This company manufactures heat and electric energy and distributes
heat and electric energy. It provides both the communal sphere (i.e. municipalities,
schools, the health service, etc.) and business sphere (industrial producers) with
complex supplies of energy. The company has a holding structure and all its activities
are carried out in/by its subsidiaries.
Subsidiaries
CENTROPOL CZ is integrated into the structure of subsidiaries belonging to the mother
company - CENTROPOL HOLDING, which administers and controls companies that develop
business in power-plant engineering. Our subsidiaries became first independent distributors
of electric energy in the Czech Republic immediately after the market with electric
energy was opened. Soon after the opening of the market we started to supply electricity
to the customers, whose annual consumption exceeded 40 GWh-e. Thus we have become
a direct competitor of individual distribution companies in our country. We reinforce
our position on the market by gradual acquisition into individual local distribution
systems. We offer complex services to our customers- namely provision of electric
energy supplies and safeguarding reliable operation of the distribution system.
Our History, Present Days and Vision
Centropol holding, a.s. was established by legal and natural entities in 1996. The
first authorization for distribution of several kinds of energy was granted to this
company by the Ministry of Industry and Commerce in 1997. The independent parent
company CENTROPOL HOLDING, a.s. attends mostly to administration of its subsidiaries
and investment activities. The Company shareholders consider carrying out business
in power plant engineering as strategic for our future. The development of the existing
sources and acquisition of new sources of energy is their main aim. Trading in electric
energy becomes basis of our business activities. Our subsidiary CENERGY s.r.o. was
one of the first companies that, immediately after the opening of the market with
electric energy, started to supply electricity to its customers. Our employees proved
that the market with electricity can be liberalised and opened for the new competition
with the existing distribution companies. Our customers are ranked among other milestones
in our expansion on the electric power market; these are customers with annual supplies
exceeding 9 GWh-e, who are also given the right to select their suppliers of electricity
in the second stage of the opening of the new market. CENTROPOL CZ, a.s. specialises
in supplies of electric power for both customers in our country and abroad.
Electricity
The main product we offer is distribution and sale of electric energy to entitled
customers. Our main aim is high efficiency, reliability and quality of our electricity
supplies. It is a matter of fact for our company to offer energy at the required
quantity and for the permanently favourable price. Our team of employees is ready
to provide individual attendance to our customers. On the basis of their demand
for electric energy we are also ready to offer supplies of electricity for the lowest
possible price. The basic outcome for calculation of this price is to find out the
consumption curve of our customer and perform its analysis with the help of most
modern applications. Each customer is then offered specific conditions and the individually
created price, which reflects the customer's precise needs.
Heat
The production of heating energy forms a significant part of our activities in the
sphere of energy supplies. Thanks to our ownership of all the licenses required
for the manufacture and distribution of electric energy and heat, as well as for
trading in them, we are capable of offering, within our subsidiaries, complex energetic
services. We supply heat and electricity to both spheres - the communal sphere (municipalities,
schools, facilities of our health care, blocks of flats, housing estates, etc.)
and business sphere (industrial producers).
